HI my name is brandon my topic is Maurice Rocket Richard.
I selected this topic because his topic sounded interesting
and I like to play hockey.when I seen all of the goals I got
surprised same with all the rewords he got.When i seen
he had 7 kids i go surprised.His hockey career made me interested
in him and i want to learn more about him.We both have something to
do with each other we both love hockey.I wonder why he wantted to
become a hockey player.Thank u for all the judges that came out and
judge are posters.

If you ever went to Montreal in the 1921 and up to 2000 you would have heard about Maurice Rocket Richard because he is a famous hockey player. He scored the most goals for the Montreal Canadians. He was the best hockey player in the years when he played for Montreal. He wanted to play hockey when he was a little kid that is why he had a good career. Why did u think he was a good hockey player. Maurice Rocket Richard has lead a fascinating life and made a huge impact on can Canadians heritage.
Maurice Rocket Richard was born in August 4, 1921 in Montreal, Quebec and he died in 2000. He was raised in a bad neighbourhood in the Bordeaux district near Ville Saints Laurent. He grew up near a jail. His father’s name was Onesime Richard and his mother’s name is Alice Laramee. He had for brothers and sisters his brothers names are Henric, Claude, Rene and Jacques and his sister’s names are Rollande, Marguerite and Georgette. His wife’s name is Lucille and he married her in 1942 and has 7 kids their names are Huguette born in the 4-13-1945, Maurice 1946, Normand 5-1-1950, Andre 4-30-1954 and jean was born in 2-3-1959.
He and his father made a rink in their back yard every winter. He learned how to play hockey in its back year with his brother and father. He always wanted to play for the Montreal Canadians sense he was a little boy playing hockey in his back year. His father told him to never give up when he wanted to become a fames hockey player. He played for his school hockey team and his neighbourhood hockey team. He played for several teams when he was younger. He was considered the best Canadian French prospect in years.
He worked his way through minor leagues. When he was 18 he played for parquetted junior in the season he scored 144 goals. He skated with the Parc Lafontaine and the maple leaf. The he finished off with Montreal royals. They wanted him to go to the left wing. He started when he was 19 playing for the Montreal farm club.
When he was 16 he dropped out school to go work with his father. When he was done school he tried to go to the army. He studied at Montreal technical school to become a machinist just like his father.
He scored 32 goals in 46 games in his first full season. He was the first one to score 50 goals in 50 games. He scored 544 goals in a regular season. He scored 626 goals and 465 assists in 1.111 games.
He got a reword for 200th goal presented in the 1949. He got an all-star hockey jersey in 1949. In 1994-1945 he got an auto graphed hockey stick.
Overall, Maurice Rocket Richard has lead a fascinating life and was one of the greatest hockey players in the history of the NHL. It all started for the Rocket when he first started to walk and his father made a rink for him in the backyard. He entered the NHL when was he was 19 years old and was one of the best throughout his carrer getting 626 goals and 465 assists over 18 years. I think the Rocket made a huge impact towards Canada’s hockey heritage and he will always be remembered.
